COUNTRY- and LANGUAGE-SPECIFIC INFORMATION
The Lexelerator is based on EU law, that means legislation adopted at EU level (involving all 3 European institutions: European Commission, European Parliament, European Council in a rather lengthy and complex procedure). Most of e-business-related legislation is laid down in "directives" that must be implemented into national law by the EU Member States (currently 27). In doing so, national legislators have some discretion which accounts for the complexity and variety of laws (for example: Cooling off periods). The legal Wiki is currently in English only, but Blogs and Fora treat topics in different countries in the respective languages.
